The 35th Around the Island Walk takes place on Saturday 20th June, 2026. The premier Island Walk has become one of the Island's largest one-day fund raising events.

The tough walk is a stark contrast with the beauty of the route that passes along Jersey's beautiful coastline, sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs and stunning countryside. The event is split into 3 categories:

  • Main Walk (48 miles) - for those who relish the physical challenge. Starting at 3am from Elizabeth Harbour Ferry Terminal.
  • Lieutenant Governor's Challenge (13 miles) - ideal for those with young families, or less of an appetite to conquer all 48.1 miles at once. Starting at Les Fontaines Tavern at 11am and finishing at Le Braye.
  • Relay (48 miles) - for teams of four to take on the main walk. Starting at 3am from Elizabeth Harbour Ferry Terminal.
  • One TMF Challenge - ideal for all abilities taking a shorter route from Bel Royal car park to the Finish at the Waterfront. Starting from Bel Royal at 1pm.

The gruelling nature of the walk is what sets it apart from other charity events and why over the years more than 33,000 participants have raised £3 million with funds raised by walkers being distributed to local organisations.
